The word Mandala (pronunciation mon- dah- lah) means "circle". A Mandala represents wholeness, a cosmic diagram reminding us of our relation to infinity, extending beyond and within our bodies and minds.
The mandala appears to us in all aspects of life, the Earth, the Sun, the Moon and more obviously the circles of life encompassing friends, family and communities.
Mandalas are used for meditation purposes allowing the individual meditating to become one with the universe. There are not many who are able to achieve this state of mind from just studying a mandala. The symbolism behind the creation of a mandala can have significant meaning for many individuals whether they are Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, Pagan or of any other religious orientation.
*Had some good tome painting mandalas with friends meditating with yoga accompanied music.. a great experience i recommand:)

Oh!! I'm such a big fan of manadalas! I've been coloring them for a while. Recently I started creating mine. Even though simple, small and archaic, they still help me feel better and steam all the stress! :D
Glad to know you enjoyed it!
I really surprised that there is such events or workshops in bekaa. I could not imagine myself doing such things. I think it needs a lot of tolerance and patience and i do not have any of those characteristics. But may be such workshops will teach or train me to be more patient if i do it many times .
Thanks heba for sharing such things.
Wow it seems a very interesting workshop. These mandalas are very attractive and help whoever who feels stressed get relieved very soon.
Nowadays, I really need to attend this type of workshop to get rid of all the negative energy within me.
